With blued nitro barrel signed in full and marked 'HOLLAND'S .240 BORE APEX SUPER EXPRESS RIFLE' at the breech, block-mounted bead fore-sight with sprung tunnel-cover, block-mounted rear-sight of one standing and one folding leaf calibrated to 350 yards, blued receiver with matted panels, blued cocking-piece with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' to the flag-safety, 14¼in. well figured walnut pistolgrip stock with raised cheek-piece and chequered fore-end and grip, blued magazine floor-plate and trigger-guard, case-hardened pistolgrip-cap with hinged trap-cover, the trap containing a serial numbered spare fore-sight bead, horn butt-plate, silver escutcheon engraved with initials 'RAL', and sling-eyes, retaining much original finish throughout, in original fitted leather case lined in red baize, the lid with black leather trade label with gilt lettering, and printed instructional notices, the exterior with the initials 'R.A.L.' in black letters
