With blued nitro barrel signed in full and marked 'HOLLAND'S .240 BORE APEX SUPER EXPRESS RIFLE' at the breech, block-mounted bead fore-sight, block-mounted rear-sight of one standing and one folding leaf calibrated to 350 yards, blued receiver with matted panels, blued cocking-piece with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' to the flag-safety, 14 1/8in. figured walnut pistolgrip stock with raised cheek-piece and chequered fore-end and grip, blued magazine floor-plate and trigger-guard, case-hardened pistolgrip-cap with hinged trap-cover, the trap containing a serial numbered spare fore-sight bead, horn butt-plate, silver escutcheon, and sling-eyes, retaining much original finish throughout
