A JADEITE MODEL OF A LION
LATE QING DYNASTY
The stone is carved in the form of a crouching lion bearing its teeth, with a bushy tail curled upwards. The eyebrows, mane and tail are well defined with delicate incisions. The mottled stone is of a very pale green tone with some lavender inclusions.
