A DEHUA BLANC-DE-CHINE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
19TH CENTURY
The bodhisattva is modelled seated with her hands held together, wearing long flowing robes and a jewelled necklace, with a serene expression on her face. There is an impressed four-character seal mark to her lower back, reading 'bo ji yu ren', which can be translated as 'virtuous like a fisherman'.
