A RARE LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL 'HUNDRED DEER' VASE, HU
QIANLONG/JIAQING PERIOD (1736-1820)
The vase is boldly enamelled around the exterior with a continuous scene of deer cavorting amidst pine trees and rocks, all on a bright yellow ground. The vase is supported on a short, slightly splayed foot. The sides are applied with bat-form handles, each brightly enamelled in tones of pink, yellow and blue.
