A PAIR OF FAUX BOIS BOWLS
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each shallow bowl is potted with gently rounded sides rising to a flaring rim, supported on a short tapered foot. The exteriors of the bowls are painted in different shades of brown to simulate the appearance of wood, with the interiors enamelled silver.
