A DEHUA FIGURE OF THE ASCETIC SAKYAMUNI
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The emaciated figure is seated leaning slightly forward with the left leg raised to support the bony arms. The face is modelled with an urna above downcast eyes. The long thin torso exposes a skeletal rib cage above a dhoti.
