A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE CUPS
17TH/18TH CENTURY
Each cup has a delicately flaring rim and is boldly decorated to the exterior with large scrolling lingzhi above a lappet band by the foot rim. The interior is decorated with a single lingzhi within a double blue line. Each fungus is embellished with deep blue stipples imitating the 'heaping and piling' effect. There are apocryphal Xuande underglaze blue six-character marks to the bases.
