With long double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section tapering to flattened diamond section towards the tip, cut with a central fuller on each face bearing an indistinct signature, iron guard comprising a deep cup extending towards the pommel forming a knuckle-guard, pointed quillon-block, downcurved arms and long straight quillons writhen towards the tips, the cup pierced and engraved with overlapping circles each with a small cross in the centre, the upper edge roped, later good quality copper-wire grip with Turk's heads, and spirally gadrooned pommel from a swept-hilt rapair with turned tang-button
