In excavated condition, with tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section struck on one face with a maker's mark, flattened guard with straight quillons each with downturned tip (one incomplete) and with small drawn nib on each side at the forte, tapering tang, and large chamfered wheel-pommel with drawn button finial
