Each with tapering blade of hollow triangular section, one with etched ornament at the forte, pierced and chiselled steel hilts each with double-shell guard, lobed quillon, knuckle-guard and globular pommel, one decorated with martial trophies and scrollwork, the other flower-heads and scrollwork, and wire-bound grips, one with steel wire and copper-alloy ribbon
