With earlier broad double-edged blade struck on one side at the forte with a maker's stamp, iron guard with flat arched quillons each with a lion-mask in relief on the tip, wire-bound grip with Turk's heads, and faceted pommel, possibly 16th century, cut with a central band of diamonds
