Lot Essay

With its exuberant form, this mirror is characteristic of Genovese mirror production in the mid-18th century. A similar mirror in the Palazzo del Principe in Genoa is illustrated in E. Colle, Il Mobile Rococo in Italia, Milan, 2003, p. 273.
