A BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
17TH/18TH CENTURY
Guanyin is shown seated in rajalilasana, with one hand resting on her raised right knee, the other hand in vitarka mudra. She is dressed in long, loose robes, which fall gracefully around her body. The facial features are depicted with a slight smile and eyes downcast under the upswept hair tied into a high chignon and partially covered under a long cowl centered by a tiara.
