A ZITAN INKSTONE BOX AND COVER

The box, of rounded rectangular shape with gently canted corners, is raised on a slightly recessed base, and the interior is well-hollowed and lacquered to accommodate the inkstone. The cover is carved in relief with an elaborate stylized bat roundel.
