A SMALL SUZHOU AGATE OPENWORK PENDANT
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The translucent, pale greyish stone is carved in openwork as a monkey crawling atop a leafy, double-gourd vine on one side where a dragon fly carved from the brown skin of the stone is shown. The brown skin also highlights the eyes of the monkey, a tiny spider at the bottom of the largest gourd, and an inscription and seal carved in relief on a large lingzhi head on the reverse.
