A SMALL GILT-GROUND MOULDED BOWL
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The bowl has deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot, and is decorated to the exterior with four moulded shou medallions surrounded by two stylised confronted dragons painted in blue enamel, all reserved on a bright gilt ground. The interior is under a white glaze below the gilt rim.
3½ in. (9 cm.) diam.
