A RARE PAIR OF PEWTER-LINED INSCRIBED BAMBOO TEA CADDIES
QING DYNASTY, DATED 1895 AND OF THE PERIOD
Each cylindrical bamboo section is lined with pewter interior and stands on a flat base, below a waisted neck. The exterior is carved with leafy bamboo stems growing beside rocks, accompanied by a poetic inscription dated yiwei year, corresponding to 1895, and signed Zhutang. The base is impressed with the workshop mark Quanli laodian, follwed by two characters diantong.
