A WHITE JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
CIRCA 1920
The compressed globular censer is carved with three cabriole lion-mask legs and has two lion-mask handles suspending loose rings. The domed cover is carved and pierced with a roaring lion and its young amidst flaming scrolls. The highly polished jade has a even pale tone with small areas of mottled inclusions.
