With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1972 and its subsequent sale on 8 February 1973.

Reference 3586 was launched in 1970 and is part of the "Golden Ellipse Collection". It was manufactured in yellow or white gold only and production ceased in the early 1980s. According to our research, this is the first example with a silvered dial to appear at auction thus far as all other examples were fitted with a blue dial.
