With browned twist rifled sighted octagonal barrel, case-hardened patent breech inlaid with three gold lines and with gold-lined maker’s mark, finely scroll engraved tang incorporating the adjustable rear-sight, border and scroll engraved lock with blued safety-stop and unlined maker’s stamp, figured walnut full stock with chequered grip, set trigger, finely engraved iron mounts retaining some original blued and case-hardened finish, white metal shield-shaped escutcheon opposite the lock engraved with initials, and original brass-tipped ramrod
