The bombé superstructure decorated with sun-burst parquetry panels and fronted by a fall with floral-spray banding, the reverse with a red leather-lined writing surface, the interior with two drawers and compartments, the angles with pierced rocaille clasps headed by twin branch putto candelabra, above three frieze drawers, on cabriole legs with scrolled sabots, the reverse of the mounts stamped 'EM'
