A PALE CELADON JADE RUYI SCEPTRE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The sceptre is of typical tapering arched form, the end of the handle carved in shallow relief with a bat and suspending a silk tassle, terminating in a large ruyi-shaped head which is carved with blossoming branches and rocks. The attractive stone with a fine polish and of an even pale tone highlighted in some minor areas with an enhanced russet skin.
