A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE DOG
MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The animal is carved with its legs neatly tucked under the body and its head turned towards the curled tail. The eyebrows and tail have finely incised details. The mottled stone is of a greyish-celadon tone, with darker brown, russet and snowy inclusions.
