A PALE BLUE-GROUND PUCE-ENAMELLED DOUBLE FLASK
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The vessel is formed with two conjoined flattened moonflasks, each supported on a short flared foot below a circular body rising to a tall cylindrical neck. The bodies are enamelled with two writhing dragons to either side, clutching lingzhi sprays. The base is with an apocryphal six-character Yongzheng seal mark in underglaze blue.
6 ½ in. (16.5 cm.) high
Provenance
Acquired prior to 1939 and thence by descent within the family.
