KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The brush pot is decorated in vibrant cobalt-blue tones with a panel enclosing four literati admiring the view from a pavilion and a panel enclosing a gentleman and his attendant. These are between two calligraphic panels enclosing poems written by Tang poets: "Tour on a Mountain" by Du Mu and "Moon gazing" by Wang Jian.
