A PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF A HOUND
TANG DYNASTY (618-906) OR LATER
It is carved as a slender recumbent dog with its head slightly turned to its right, with its front legs crossed. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with opaque and mottled inclusions.
2½ in. (6.5 cm.) wide

Acquired in 1988 in Hong Kong.
