Double column in red and black. Engraved title vignette and 3 full-page engraved illustrations, woodcut historiated initials and ornaments. (Some soiling, some damage and repairs to margins, particularly affecting quires N, P and X.) Contemporary needlework binding, the applied metal thread on red velvet ground forming a rich pattern of scrolling flowers, with crowned cypher 'MRA' [Maria] at centre of upper and the monstrance at centre of lower cover, gilt and gauffeured edges, red silk marker (somewhat faded and worn); modern cloth slipcase. Provenance: Brooklyn Public Library (stamp on top edge and dedication leaf).
