TWO BLUE AND WHITE BRUSH POTS
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
One is decorated in underglaze blue with two panels enclosing scenes of fishermen and scholars in mountainous river landscapes. The other is decorated with four rectangular panels with canted corners depicting mountainous river landscapes executed in underglaze blue with faint copper-red details, all reserved on a carved wan-diaper ground covered in a celadon glaze of pale olive-green color.
7 and 7¼ in. (18 and 18.5 cm.) diam.
