A NAPOLEON III ORMOLU THREE-PIECE CLOCK GARNITURE
BY CHARPENTIER & CIE, PARIS, THE CENTRAL GROUP CAST AFTER A MODEL BY AUGUSTE MOREAU, THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a clock and two eight-light candelabra, the scrolling clock case surmounted by a bacchante and putto signed 'Charpentier / Bronzier' and 'MOREAU', the clock with later movement and dial with single train timepiece movement with recoil anchor escapement and silk suspension, pendulum, the candelabrum en suite, each with two putti supporting foliate branches
The clock: 29 ½ in. (75 cm.) high; 22 in. (56 cm.) wide; 12 ¾ in. (32.5 cm.) deep
The candelabra: 33 ½ in. (85 cm.) high
