MARK OF BOIN-TABOURET, PARIS, CIRCA 1893
Each piece cast with rocaille and scrolls, comprising:
A centrepiece, on shell and scroll base applied on each side with two coats-of-arms accolé below a Royal crown and with heraldic lion supporters, bowl lacking, marked on base
17 in. (43 cm.) wide
A pair of silver-mounted cut-glass vases, the glass cut in the rock crystal style, the mounts chased with shells, scrolls and foliage, each marked on base
11 ½ in. (29 cm.) high
A three-piece shaped oval mirror plateau, with shell, scroll and foliage borders, marked on each section

A fitted brass-bound oak box, the hinged cover applied with a brass plaque with an engraved Bulgarian inscription dated 1893

The arms are those of Bulgaria with Saxony in pretence accolé with those of Bourbon-Parma for Ferdinand I, King of Bulgaria (1861-1948) and his wife Princess Maria Luisa of Bourbon-Parma (1870-1899), who he married in April 1893.

Provenance
Presented to Princess Maria Luisa of Bourbon-Parma (1870-1899) by the municipality of Sofia in 1893, almost certainly on the occasion of her marriage to Ferdinand I, King of Bulgaria (1861-1948) on 20th April 1893, and then by descent.
