Smith, 1730. 2° (470 x 290mm).Title-page in red and black, half-title, dedication with engraved vignette, preface, contents and index, with additional engraved allegorical title after J. V. Vianen, and 28 double-page engraved maps bound on stubs. (One map slightly frayed at lower margin.) Modern vellum covering over 18th-century boards.
The final edition of Mercator’s maps for Ptolemy’s atlas. These are the same as those in the editions of 1695, 1698 and 1704. Koeman Me8.
