A BLUE AND WHITE 'LOTUS' DISH
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The dish is modelled as a lotus flower and is decorated to the interior with a central lanca character encircled by a ruyi border and two layers of stylised petals emanating outwards. The exterior of the petals are painted with panels containing alternating lanca characters and floral motifs.
