A RARE MASSIVE CARVED LOTUS-LEAF FORM INKSTONE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
Naturalistically carved as a large lotus leaf with the sides gently edged to form the receptacle. One side of the inkstone is upturned to reveal an openwork looped stalk of the lotus leaf. The underside with a bell-shaped indentation following the natural shape of the stone. The stone of dark green-brown tone with natural cencentric striations at the inkwell.
