A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL TOBACCO JAR
MARK OF OVCHINNIKOV, '88' STANDARD, MOSCOW, 1883
Raised on four ball and claw feet, decorated with geometric panels of scrolls and stylised flowers on a white ground, the rest similarly enamelled on a silver-gilt textured ground with bands of triangular motifs, beads, stylised leaves and scrolls in red, green, white, purple, pink and several shades of blue, the base prick-dot engraved with what appears to be a stock number, the large knop finial with fluted decoration in two shades of blue
