With 30 in. (76 cm.) blacked black powder only barrels signed 'FERD. COURALLY FAB.T À LIÉGE SUCC.R D' AUG. LEBEAU', the underside of the barrels marked 'CANON EN METAL CONFIRMÉ FAIT CHEZ AUG. LEBEAU', the flats marked 'POUR L'USAGE RATIONNEL DES POUDRES PYROXYLÉES', 2 ½ in. (65 mm) chambers, bored approx. ¼ and ¾ choke, case-hardened side-clipped action chiselled with foliage on the fences and signed by the retailer 'L. VIVES Y CIA. BARCELONA MADRID' on the underside, blued toplever, side-mounted manual safety with gold-inlaid arrow and 'SUR', blued trigger-guard engraved 'EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE PARIS 1900', border and scroll engraving throughout, articulated front trigger, figured 14 in. stock with chequered butt, old inventory label, vacant gold escutcheon, and some original finish throughout, weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.
