Lot Essay

The vendor's brother worked at the Hotel Deauville, Miami Beach, where The Beatles filmed their second live appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on 16th February 1964. As he was British, his father hailing from Liverpool, The Beatles asked him to be their 'local helper' during their stay in Miami - doing everything from finding Ringo's favourite burger to arranging their cabanas by the pool. As well as tipping generously, the band signed this fan club card to thank him.
