A BLUE AND WHITE SHALLOW BOWL
TIANQI PERIOD (1620-1627)
The thickly potted, shallow bowl has a slightly flaring rim and is decorated in the interior with a scene depicting a large gathering of Buddhist monks in an interior setting. The exterior is decorated with double blue lines and two unusual abstract motifs.
6 1/8 in. (15.5 cm.) diam.
