AN ENAMELED WHITE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL, ATTRIBUTED TO YANGZHOU, 1775-1799
The bottle is of flattened oval form and decorated on one side with a peasant carrying a basket beneath a tall pine tree and amidst assorted flowering plants, and on the reverse with two figures in a pagoda looking out to sea. The base has a Guyue Xuan mark in iron-red enamel.
2 ½ in. (6.3 cm.) high, glass stopper
