A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE 'DOUBLE-FISH AND CHIME' VASE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The baluster body is painted on each side with a twin-fish suspending a chime on a dense ground of Indian lotus scroll, the trumpet neck with two lotus blooms each enclosing a Shou medallion, separated by a pair of underglaze-blue handles in the form of kui phoenix. The base is unglazed.
