A CARVED GREYISH-WHITE JADE 'CRANE AND PINE' PLAQUE
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The plaque is mounted on a wood table screen, carved on one side depicting a crane underneath a pine tree and another crane in flight, both grasping in their beaks sprays of lingzhi growing from rocks. The mottled white stone has concentrated areas of dark russet and streaks.
