A GREYISH-CELADON JADE INSET ZITAN RUYI
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each of the three jade plaques is delicately carved and pierced with a bird in flight amidst floral sprays, set into a zitan shaft carved in relief depicting boys at play in a continuous landscape. The reverse is accompanied by an apocryphal imperial inscription. The jades are of a greyish-celadon tone with minor russet and brown inclusions.
