A WHITE JADE 'LUDUAN' CENSER AND COVER
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The censer is carved as a luduan with four legs ending in clawed feet. The detachable cover is modelled as the head of the ferocious beast with jaws agape and a double band of reticulated curls below its chin. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone.
