SIGNED HAJJ USTA, OTTOMAN ALEPPO, MID 19TH CENTURY
Of typical form with a short steel two-stage barrel decorated with gold-overlaid arabesque, the stock with silver wire inlaid scrolling vine issuing cusped palmettes, the grip with a geometric inlaid pattern, the edge of the butt, lock mechanism and trigger guard with gold-overlaid scrolling vine, a short bone ramrod and a saddle bar, maker's signature on the side of the barrel, small areas where the gold inlay has been lost and the wire has come loose
