Lot Essay

Vairocana is one of the most important Buddhas of early Tantric Buddhism, alongside Akshobhya and Amitabha. In some teachings, he is regarded as a spiritual form of Shakyamuni Buddha. He is also the central figure of the Five Tathagatas, or 'Wisdom Buddhas' of Mahayana Buddhism.
