A BRONZE ARCHAISTIC TRIPOD CENSER
DATED TO THE 44TH YEAR OF QIANLONG, CORRESPONDING TO 1780, AND OF THE PERIOD
The censer has curved upright handles and is supported on three mythical beast feet. The body is decorated with taotie masks on a leiwen ground interspersed by raised flanges, an inscription to one side.
