A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE RECTANGULAR PLAQUE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
One side is carved with two deer beneath a pine tree, and the reverse is carved in seal script reading bieyou tiandi feirenjian, which relates to the beauty of the landscape, and a two character seal reading wen wan, which may be translated as 'plaything'. The plaque is surmounted by a pierced 'double happiness' character.
