Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with grey slate dial and Roman numerals in white gold in 2000 and its subsequent sale on 29 June 2000.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never been offered in public before.

Reference 5056 was launched in 1998 and was only produced in platinum before being discontinued in 2006. It is the platinum version of reference 5036 which was available only in the three gold colours. Both references were the first watches ever made with annual calendar and phases of the moon.
