8° (227 x 140mm). A suite of 9 hand-coloured mezzotint plates. Polished calf gilt by Riviere and Son, gilt edges (front cover re-hinged). Provenance: C.L.F. Robinson, Newport, Rhode Island (bookplate).

The plate illustrated shows 'The Ladies Shooting Poney’ after John Collet. Others are: ‘The Psalm Smiters’; ‘Two Bloods of Humour, returning from Bagnio after having kept it up’; ; ‘The Letter Woman’; ‘The Beauty unmasked’ after Morland; ‘He would be a Soldier, the sweet Willy-o’; ‘The Fair Florist’; ‘A Rogue in Grain’; and ‘The Scythe, Man’s Refreshment’. Sold as a collection of plates not subject to return.
