4º (298 x 237mm). Hand-coloured lithographed title and 38 hand-coloured lithographed plates. Extra illustrated with three original watercolours for plates 14, 32 and 35, facing on an inserted leaf and each with manuscript caption pasted beneath. Late 19th-century green morocco gilt, top edges gilt (some light rubbing). Provenance: C.F.G.R. Schwerdt (bookplate; his sale Sotheby’s London, 10 July 1939, lot 1515).

SCHWERDT COPY OF THIS SCARCE SERIES WITH THREE ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS BY HEATH. The satirical plates depict both social and sporting scenes.
